Edubuntu is a open-source Linux based operating system derived from Ubuntu for use in Educational environments, this its naming Edubuntu. Edubuntu is specially equiped for use in school and other educations environments. It features the easy to use Gnome desktop environment preloaded with Applications for any purpose, Administrators, General Users, Students, and Young Children. It offers you the ability to offer the Unity shell for children, or for net-books, and net-tops. In addition the LTSP is bundled with Edubuntu provide administrators, an inexpensive way of making use of old hardware, while maximizing new hardware. In this basics series we will cover many basic funtions of the operating system, and many Edubuntu specific features.
