Ubuntu Studio Edition

A Little About Ubuntu Studio Edition

Ubuntu Studio Edition is a destribution of Ubuntu based entirely around media production. It uses the gnome desktop environment similarly to Ubuntu but features only applications necessary for Media creation. It isn’t designed for general users. It is designed for artists, photographers, cinematographers, and audio producers. The installation is a bit trickier than that of Ubuntu because it uses the textual installer rather than the graphical. This has no real effects on the installation but may scare some users away from it. It doesn’t feature office and social media and really isn’t designed for use beyond that of media production. Though if modifyed it could easily be used for this purpose.
