[blip.tv ?posts_id=3985850&dest=-1]

In this Ubuntu Video Tutorial I show you how to install Xbox Media Center on Ubuntu using the terminal. Xbox Media Center was origonaly and add-on for the original Xbox gaming system but was adapted later as a media center application with cross platform support for windows, linux, and Macintosh. It makes a great alternative to computer media centers that are designed for mouse interaction.

There is some information required to install this package the codes below will help you follow along quickly with the video.

sudo apt-get install python-software-properties pkg-config
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-standalone
sudo apt-get update
