Installing Ubuntu 10.04 Using Default Settings

[ ?posts_id=3980817&dest=-1]

In this tutorial I have detailed the process of installing Ubuntu from a Live CD..

What you will need:

  1. Ubuntu 10.04 Live CD… You can obtain one or download one from

    • Click Here For instructions on creating an Ubuntu live CD
  2. A computer that supports booting from a live cd (2003-present computers should work)

System Requirements: 1Ghz Processor, 512mb of memory, 5GB of Hard-disk space, and a GPU for enhanced visual graphics. Note: in most likely hood unless you have a computer that is older than three years old then you should have no problems installing Ubuntu.

The Tutorial Above assumes that you wish to completely remove windows and have already backed up your data!
